This end of trimester show of interactive art for Edinburgh Napier was based on the concept of past, present and future. Thus allowing the temporal effect of interactive art to be highlighted. The use of the images of the three phases of the moon to represent past, present and future was a key design feature. The background of a concentric design was a homage to the 'yantra' or hindu method to help meditative thought. A Yantra is both a bridge and a way to illustrate a vision of the view of the cosmos, the centre, or bindu, being seen as the radiating source of energy that permeates all forms. Art is a means to achieve an understanding of our subconcious.

The use of an obvious 'computer' typeface was a direct means to illustrate the computer generated aspect of Interactive Art making some letters appear to light up generates a showbusiness quality to the text and event. Designing the letters 'A' 'R' 'T' and the moon symbols falling into (or out of?) the bindu shows the dynamic nature of this art form, and the waveform edges of the concentric rings aid to illustrate the audio aspect of this art form.
