This flyer for Southbound was weathered even more than the first flyer.
The use of scrap cardboard for the main information, which is 'handwritten', present a rustic handmade character to the flyer.
The mock Confederate (Southbound) banknotes (that lost their value) and the faded nature of the painted Confederate flag illustrate how the fortunes of the Southern states changed after the civil war. This is reinforced by the use use of an image of 'The Band', whose track 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down', is an iconic statement and reflection of the effects of the civil war.
The 'Lynard Skynard' badge asks for support of Southern Rock, and the 'Redwing' LP sleeve (a personal favourite) give a sense of some of the music played at this club night.
