One hurdle to overcome with running a nightclub that features a playlist of music that originates from 40-50 years ago, is allowing the music to be heard, and appreciated by a younger audience. This blog is used to raise people's awareness of the range and diversity of the club-nights playlist, without getting too bogged down in the finer points of the historical background to the music. It encourages a wider audience to attend the club- night that are then more aware of the types of sounds to be heard.
It also acts as a newsletter to inform visitors to new record releases and tours of appropriate artists. Used in combination with the club's Facebook page, it also becomes a channel of communication, receiving feedback whilst promoting the club night.
